Privacy statement
Babyfases is a free tool for parents. We deliberately keep things simple — including with your data.
What we store
- The details you enter yourself about your child(ren): name, date of birth, optionally sex, weight, clothing size, birth weight and due date.
- Which one-off steps (such as school applications) you have ticked off.
- The log entries you add yourself (feeds, sleeps, nappy/diaper changes) with their times.
- Optionally: an email address, only if you enter it yourself and tick that you want milestone emails.
- Optionally: a family password if you set one yourself — we only store an encrypted derivative (hash), never the password itself.
Why
Solely to show and keep your dashboard, so that you and your partner can view it through your family link. The optional email address is used only for milestone messages you explicitly opted into.
What we don't do
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No ads, no trackers, no analytics pixels.
- No accounts or passwords — your family link is the only access. Share that link only with people you trust.
How long
As long as your family page exists. If you delete the family (via the button on your family page), all data — children, ticked tasks, log entries and email address — is removed from the database immediately and permanently.
Where
The data is stored in a database at Google Cloud in the Netherlands (region europe-west4). The service is operated from the Netherlands and handles your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regardless of where you live.
Deleting your data or questions
You can always delete everything yourself via the "Delete family permanently" button on your family page. If that doesn't work (for example because you lost the link), or if you have any other question about your data, email privacy@babyfases.nl.
